Sechskies’ Lee Jae Jin caught driving under the influence

Lee Jae Jin, a member of popular ’90s idol group Sechskies and the brother-in-law of YG Entertainment‘s Yang Hyun Suk, has been convicted of drunk driving.
On November 3rd, authorities told Newsen over the phone, “Lee Jae Jin has been indicted without detention on the charge of drunk driving, and has been sent home after the investigation.”
According to the police, Lee Jae Jin hit another car in front of a hotel in Kangnam, Seoul. His blood alcohol level was measured to be 0.087% at the time, which will result in his license being suspended.
This isn’t the first time Jae Jin has been in the headlines for breaking the law. Back in 2009, Jae Jin was charged with desertion when he failed to return to his military base after his break. By the time he was found, he was 33 days overdue for his return.
The military court ruled one-year in prison with the term suspended for two years on charges of desertion. Although the military prosecution had insisted on a 2-year imprisonment, the court ruled leniently after Lee Jae Jin cited his parents’ death during his military service.
The judge gave him a one-year jail term, which wouldn’t take effect as long as he kept up a clean record for the next two years and promised good behavior for his remaining service term.
