MTV Taiwan names Super Junior’s Heechul as the idol with the sexiest lips

Super Junior‘s Kim Heechul doesn’t need to be in the spotlight to grab headlines anymore — although he’s currently serving his mandatory military term, the singer was chosen by MTV Taiwan as the “idol with the sexiest lips”.
Having amassed over 929 votes in a poll, MTV Taiwan gave Heechul the following compliment: “It’s not a surprise that Heechul took first place. He really has sexy lips, especially when he dresses up as a woman.” Heechul is known for his costumed parodies of Lady Gaga at Super Junior concerts, and the lady herself even complimented Heechul for “looking amazing”.
Heechul also took top spots in a poll by Mnet‘s ‘Gossip House‘ titled, “Male idols with the best legs.”

TVXQ’s Changmin to dub ‘Paradise Ranch’ for Japanese DVD release

TVXQ‘s Changmin has revealed that he’ll be dubbing his Korean drama, ‘Paradise Ranch‘, in Japanese for its upcoming release on November 2nd.
On November 25th, Japanese outlets revealed that Changmin will be dubbing the drama himself, an unprecedented case for any Korean drama crossing over to the country. Changmin stated, “It’s a difficult change but I feel that it must be done, so I will try my best.”
Changmin will be dubbing over his own character in Japanese for the drama’s impending DVD release. Included in the Japanese release will be ‘making-of’ videos that show the behind-the-scenes process of his dubbing recording, a collection of drama NGs, as well as special interview clips — all making for three hours of content.

2NE1′s Minzy gives Dara a handmade scarf for her birthday

2NE1‘s Sandara Park showed off a present she received from fellow member Minzy.
On October 26th, Dara posted a picture through her me2day with the comment, “Directly from our youngest Minkki! A scarf that she knitted for me as a present~! Because of her, I think I’ll be warm all winter! +.+ What can’t our Minkki do? Kyah~! Did you see the dance practice video Minkki posted a while back? Although I knew she was good at dancing, I was surprised once again after watching that video! Power Minkki! +.+ Whose little sister? My little sister~! Eehe~!^o^v”
In her selca, Dara wrapped Minzy’s handmade scarf around her head and neck, showing her appreciation for the thoughtful gift.

Yoon Mi Rae releases MV teaser for “Get It In”

Korea’s unrivalled hip hop queen Yoon Mirae (a.k.a. Tasha) is out to prove to the world that she can flawlessly perform other musical genres through her new album, ‘Get It In‘.
‘Get It In’ is the brainchild of producer !llmind, who combined hip hop with trendy electronic beats for a track that’ll rock speakers all over the world. The song is available in both English and Korean — as such, sensual vocalist JungIn lends her voice for the Korean version, while Smokey Robotic features on the English version. The lyrics were penned dually by Tasha and her husband, Tiger JK.
The MV teaser shows off both Tiger JK and Tasha’s visual creativity, as they bring together ‘Kill Bill’-esque action scenes with innovative effects. Check out the MV teaser below!

SISTAR’s Dasom cries after losing Gyumin at the amusement park

On a recent recording of KBS Joy‘s ‘Super Junior and SISTAR’s Hello Baby‘, Dasom broke out into tears in the middle of an amusement park after losing her ‘baby’, Gyumin.
On that day, Dasom had been chosen as the sole mother for the day in place of her other members. The first thing she wanted to do on her day alone was take Gyumin to an amusement park with Leeteuk.
Because idol stars aren’t given any leisure time, she and Leeteuk had more fun than the baby himself. Unfortunately, all of the fun made them lose sight of Gyumin, as he was eventually lost in a crowd of people.
Shocked, Dasom ran around for 20 minutes trying to find Gyumin but was unable to find him anywhere. Unable to control her feelings of fear, she eventually broke out crying in the middle of the amusement park.

After School’s UEE to bid farewell to “Birdie Buddy”

After overcoming a plethora of obstacles for her drama, “Birdie Buddy“, After School‘s UEE will finally get to put the series to bed when it airs its finale on October 26th.
As previously reported, “Birdie Buddy” put UEE and her castmates through nine months of heartache after it was left hanging for a broadcast network to pick it up. Cable channel tvN finally decided to air it, and after a fairly successful run, the series will conclude on the 26th.
UEE’s been juggling another drama, KBS‘s “Ojakgyo Brothers” in the meantime, but she’s been diligent about catching “Birdie Buddy” live. A representative of Pledis revealed, “On days she can’t watch the episodes live, she’ll make sure to tune in for the rerun and monitor herself.”
Group 8, the production company for the drama, stated, “The drama’s main target audience was women in their 20′s and 30′s, but we snagged men in their 40′s and 50′s as well.”

’2011 Golden Disk Awards’ to be held in Japan

The 26th ‘2011 Golden Disk Awards‘ has announced that it will be held in Japan this coming January.
Although ‘MAMA‘ created history by being the first awards ceremony to be held overseas, the ‘Golden Disk’ will be following in its footsteps this year.
On October 25th, representatives revealed, “Sponsored by Ilgan Sports, the ‘Golden Disk Awards’ will be held at the Osaka Dome on January 11th and 12th. It’s been in preparation for years now, but finalizations were finally made. They felt that it was the best location to truly show the power of K-Pop, considering how Japan is one of the biggest supporters of the Hallyu wave.”
A large factor in the ceremony’s decision to be held in Japan was also because of the establishment of jTBC, a subsidiary of the ceremony. jTBC will exclusively broadcast the ceremony live.
Another representative revealed, “With the fantastic opportunity of a great concert hall, we’re focusing our attention on raising the participation of singers. The ceremony will be directed by MBC PD Go Jae Hyung.”
The ‘Golden Disk’ is a prestigious awards ceremony first launched in 1986, and it nominates 10 singers of the year through album sales, digital sales, and phone votes. Last year, SNSD‘s “Oh!” took home the honorable ‘Daesang’.

Wonder Girls’ Yubin & T-ara’s Hyomin reveal they voted in Seoul mayoral elections

Wonder Girls‘ Yubin and T-ara‘s Hyomin are receiving praise for being model citizens. They recently revealed proof shots of themselves en route to vote for the Seoul mayoral elections.
On October 26th, Yubin tweeted, ”I came to vote“. Since she wore no makeup and dressed, netizens believed in her sincerity to do her civic duty.
On the same day, Hyomin tweeted, ”I just got back from voting. Luckily I had time in between my schedules“. Hyomin is seen posing in front of sign signalling where the votes are being taken. She posed comically, almost as if she were caught mid-march to the polls.
Netizens commented, “Even though they had no time, they still went to vote… Wow”, “I should have voted too ;_;” and “They look great!“.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk thanks fans for ‘SM Town in New York’

The artists of SM Entertainment recently held a huge concert at Madison Square Garden called ‘SM TOWN LIVE in NYC‘, selling out every seat and drawing thousands of screaming K-Pop fans.
The event was a dream come true not just for K-Pop fans in New York, but for Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk as well. After the concert ended, he remembered to thank his fans via Twitter.
Eunhyuk wrote, “SMTOWN live in NY!!!! I have dreamed of this for so long now… I wondered to myself if I would ever be able to perform at a place like Madison Square Garden… This was all made possible because of the hardworking SM artists, staff members, and all of you fans who continue to love and support us…^^”
He continued, “Thank you to all of our SM artists and staff members, as well as ELF, Cassiopeia, Sone, SHINee World, and f(x) fans!!! This international anchovy is really going to go global! keke fighting!!! I love you guys♥”

CNBLUE ranks 4th on Oricon weekly chart with 70,000 units sold

CNBLUE‘s debut Japanese single, “In My Head“, is off to a great start in its first week, as it recorded over 70,000 units sold!
The album has ranked 4th on the Oricon weekly chart, selling a total of 71,200 units, as revealed by FNC Music. The album previously ranked in at third on the Oricon daily chart with 34,280 units, contending against the likes NMB48, Bump of Chicken, and even KARA.
They’ve been making big achievements left and right, having previously gathered 14,000 fans at their album release event and even halting their guerrilla concert for safety reasons when an unexpected 7,000 gathered in Shinjuku on October 19th.
To continue the momentum, CNBLUE will be focusing on their Japanese and Asian tour promotions for the time being.

Boyfriend feels they’ve become more masculine with their comeback

They debuted only a few months ago in April, but Boyfriend is already showing signs of maturity with their recent “Don’t Touch My Girl” comeback.
Siting down for an interview with Star News, leader Donghyun stated, “Our debut stage was nerve-wracking, but I think we feel a lot more at ease now. We’ve been hearing that we’ve gotten a lot more masculine and tough. Do you think this is enough to be a dependable boyfriend?”
The members have undergone a huge image change. Instead of flashing his signature smile, Kwangmin now opts to speak with his strong gaze instead. “I’ve cut my hair shorter and practiced making masculine facial expressions every day,” he revealed.
Donghyun added, “We even bulked up for the album. I think our fans will be quite surprised to hear that we have muscles now.”
Recently, they’ve been earning attention from fans overseas. Japanese fans flew in to support the boys’ comeback stage, and more and more fans are beginning to visit them at their rehearsal studio. Considering how they haven’t promoted overseas yet, the attention is still foreign to them.
The group revealed, “We were really surprised to see fans from Japan, China, and Thailand at our fan signing. Online, we noticed a lot of fans from South America and the Middle East as well. Just the mere thought of becoming Hallyu stars excite us.”

T-ara releases Japanese MV for “Yayaya”

Last year, T-ara had everyone in Korea snapping their fingers to their ultra-catchy song, “Yayaya“, and this year, they plan to have Japan do the same.
The PV for “Yayaya” was revealed online today, and the girls have high hopes for their 2nd Japanese single. They brought back the Native American theme in their costumes and dance, and as a nod to their “Bo Peep Bo Peep” popularity, T-ara also posed with some kittens.

SNSD’s Taeyeon and Sunny pose like twins for ‘Singles’

SNSD‘s Taeyeon and Sunny wowed fans with their latest pictorial in Singles magazine.
The girls were tasked to express the concept, ‘Like twins’, and so they delivered identical expressions while wearing similar clothes. Fans were torn between calling them twins or very pretty dolls, as their milky skin and delicate posing made them seem like perfect porcelain dolls.
In their accompanying interview, Taeyeon and Sunny revealed their candid thoughts on their friendship.

2AM’s Seulong will not be acting in upcoming drama, ‘Korean Peninsula’

Earlier this week, it was rumored that 2AM‘s Seulong had received a casting offer for TV Chosun‘s upcoming drama, ‘Korean Peninsula‘. Unfortunately, representatives of both the drama and JYP Entertainment have revealed that Seulong was unable to accept the offer due to his busy schedule.
On October 26th, representatives stated, “Im Seulong had tried to balance his schedule to work with the drama, but ultimately couldn’t find a way to fit it in. He will not be joining the drama.”
Seulong was supposed to take on the role of a bodyguard for actor Hwang Jung Min, who will act as the president. He had participated in a recent script reading, which added weight to his casting rumors. Unfortunately, his schedule made it difficult to finalize.
Other idols are being considered for the role, as it is a highly important one in the plot. Producers stated, “At this point, we’re considering casting rookie actors.”

Lee Young Ae makes a seductive transformation for her CF with ‘Olleh’

After making waves with her smash hit series ‘Dae Jang Geum‘ in 2003, actress Lee Young Ae withdrew from the small screen for a few years to focus on her private life. Now she’ll be making her TV comeback through a series of commercials for communications brand, Olleh.
