J.Y. Park lands the leading role in new movie, “The Man Worth $5 Million”
J.Y. Park is taking his acting career to new heights, as he’s just announced that he’s accepted the casting offer for the upcoming film, ‘The Man Worth $5 Million‘.
The movie is about a man who’s training to become a singer, but gets caught up in some bad activities with money. J.Y. Park will be taking on the leading role and is said to be taking acting lessons to supplement his experience from KBS’s ‘Dream High‘.
J.Y. Park previously teased fans about his upcoming projects at his fan-meet back in May by saying, “I’m going to show you my acting side a lot more this year. My album will also be a soundtrack for that project.”
The movie is being directed by Kim Ik Ro and produced by Harimao Pictures. Filming will begin in mid-October.
4minute’s HyunA becomes a pole dancer for ‘GQ’
4minute’s HyunA recently participated in a photoshoot for men’s magazine ‘GQ‘, using a pole as a prop.
Dressed in form-fitting, glamorous outfits, HyunA revealed her sexiest look yet. The added effect of her prop and her piercing gaze only amplified that appeal.
Netizens commented, “HyunA looks the best with her sexy image”, “She can give off such different charms with just one pole”, and “That magazine is going to sell well this month.”

Bang Yong Gook reveals BTS photos from “I Remember” MV set
On August 29th, TS Entertainment revealed new never-before-seen cuts of rapper Bang Yong Gook from the set of his “I Remember” music video!
The rapper previously received much praise for his exceptional acting skills in the music video, as worked in tune with his band and his surroundings to better express the sorrowful plot. Netizens praised him for his piercing gaze and powerful style, remarking that they could no longer differentiate him from a rapper or an actor.
As reported earlier, Bang Yong Gook won’t be going solo — he’ll be debuting next year with fellow member Kim Him Chan and a few others as a male idol group.
SHINee reveals dance version video for Japanese “JULIETTE”
Earlier in the month, idol heartthrobs SHINee unveiled their full Japanese music video for “JULIETTE”, which received much love. Now, as their second Japanese single was officially released, the dance version video was revealed.

SECRET to release an album in Korea before returning with “Shy Boy” in Japan
SECRET is on a roll with their Japanese promotions! Following their “Madonna” release, the girls have decided to go with “Shy Boy” as their second Japanese work.
SECRET have already completed filming their music video for “Shy Boy” on August 28th, and will finalize preparations for their release by September. Details on whether the release will be a single or a mini-album have yet to be revealed.
The girls shared that they hope to show a different charm to their strong, cosmopolitan look from “Madonna” by going for a sweeter, swings-style with “Shy Boy”.
Before their “Shy Boy” release in November, however, the girls will be releasing an official album in Korea.

Isak confirms SMTOWN in NYC!
Remember when allkpop first broke the news that SMTOWN was planning a concert in NYC? Well, the news has just been confirmed by none other than SM Entertainment’s Isak herself!
On August 28th, the singer wrote on her Twitter, “oh yea~!! not sure if im cleared to say this but oh well!! looks like SMTOWNYC is a go~! congrats!! not sure im going tho…:( ”

Girl’s Day to model with 2PM for ‘NEPA’
The ladies of Girl’s Day will partner up with 2PM as the newest female models for the F/W endorsements of clothing brand ‘NEPA‘!
For six months, the girls will be modeling the brand’s exclusive looks like ‘Black label’, ‘Extreme’, ‘Mountaineering’, ‘Travel’, ‘Camping’, and ‘X-spirit’. With their sweet smiles and outgoing attitudes, the girls were said to have boosted everyone’s spirits on set.
The marketing team of ‘NEPA’ commented, “By choosing 2PM as our newest models in the beginning of 2011, we succeeded in fostering an active and powerful image with the youth. In order to further promote our ladies clothing line, we’ve brought on Girl’s Day. We’re looking forward to seeing what the girls will be bringing to the brand.”
