SS501′s Kim Hyung Jun to release his first solo DVD


SS501‘s Kim Hyung Jun will be releasing his first solo DVD.
Agency S-Plus Entertainment stated, “The DVD will contain footage from Kim Hyung Jun’s performances in Japan, including his concert on November 10th.” The singer decided to release the DVD after receiving constant requests by fans.
The DVD will also contain the remixed version of “My Girl” as well as his new single, Sleepless Night“. Fans will find a life-sized poster and other gifts with the DVD.
In related news, Kim Hyung Jun will be holding a fan signing event on November 13th in Korea.

Boyfriend members sign their autographs with BB cream



Members YoungminKwangmin, and Donghyun of rookie group Boyfriend attended a product launch event on November 9th for skincare brand Lab Series.
The brand showcased some new products they’ll launching early next year, which included a 3-piece skin-brightening set, as well as a BB cream for men and max LS water lotion.
In honor of their new BB cream, Lab Series hosted a special event that had celebrities sign their name with BB cream instead of ink. In the above photo, the Boyfriend members hold up their personal autographs signed on black paper.

Jay Park talks about the influence his mom had on his career

Jay Park revealed that he’s the star he is today because of his supportive family.
On November 10th’s episode of tvN‘s ‘Talk Show Taxi’, Jay Park revealed his honest thoughts on a variety of topics ranging from his journey to Korea to become a trainee, his time as the leader of 2PM, and his current solo career.
Jay revealed that although he had liked to dance and rap, he previously had no intention of becoming a singer. Seeing his talent, his mom had been the one who encouraged him to audition. He stated, “It’s all thanks to my mom that I’m currently active as a singer.”

He continued, “My family was the driving force behind my ability to withstand those harsh trainee days. I thought that if I just gave up and went back to the U.S., I’d be embarrassed in front of my mom and myself.”

Although he possesses the looks and the body that many are jealous of, Jay revealed that his height was one of his complexes. “I’m jealous of those who are tall,” he said.

Kim Hyun Joong to release Japanese solo album through Universal Music Japan


Kim Hyun Joong recently held a press conference revealing that he has signed with Universal Music Japan, and announced the expected release date of his first Japanese solo album.
The star had his first showcase in Japan on November 7th, and has been receiving numerous “love calls” from big record labels since then. Out of all the offers he received, Kim Hyun Joong decided to go with Universal Music, the label that houses Korean artists like SNSD, KARA, B2ST, 4minute, and Supernova.
Universal Music stated, “His powerful performance during his showcase in July left an impression. Kim Hyun Joong has a unique charm that is hard to find in other Korean idol groups that are currently promoting in Japan, so we’re sure his solo activities in Japan will be successful.”

Kim Hyun Joong will be touring around 8 more cities after his first concert in Osaka on the 9th, and will release his first Japanese solo album on January 25th of next year.

Taeyeon comments on the term “SNSD otaku” on ‘Radio Star’


SNSD‘s Taeyeon called out a host of ‘Radio Star‘ for using a negative term for Girls’ Generation fans on the recent broadcast of the show.
Host Kim Gookjin commented on Taeyeon’s kiss scenes during her previous casting in the musical, ‘The Sun’s Song‘. He asked, “Wouldn’t the ‘Soh-Duks’ dislike it?” referring to the mingling of the Korean word for the Japanese term “otaku” and SNSD’s full Korean name, SohNyeoShidae. Kim Gookjin further explained, “SNSD otakus.”
The SNSD members seemed slightly taken aback by the usage as Taeyeon replied, “That’s a negative expression.” The hosts expressed that they did not know about the negative connotation to the term, and Yoon Jong Shin joked, “The youngest is telling us that it’s a ‘negative expression’. Let’s not use the phrase again.”
SNSD’s Tiffany and Jessica also appeared on the episode.

Lee Jong Suk and Krystal show their support for students taking college entrance exams


Lee Jong Suk and f(x)‘s Krystal have been added on to the growing list of celebrities showing their support for college hopefuls today.
On November 9th, Lee Jong Suk wrote on his me2day, “Chung Duk High School students and all of Korea’s students taking the college entrance exam today, the Ahn siblings pray for your success!! Please show your love for High Kick too!! Sincerely, Ahn siblings,” and uploaded the photo above.
In the photo, Lee Jong Suk and Krystal are seen making the ‘Ppu-ing Ppu-ing’ pose, which was recently made popular by their ‘High Kick 3‘ sitcom. Fans and netizens alike were captivated by the aegyo and thoughtful support the two co-stars showed for exam takers.

Concert footage of JaeJoong catches netizens’ attention


Fan-taken footage from JYJ‘s concert in Berlin were recently posted online, and have been generating a lot of buzz. In particular, a series of shots taken of member Jaejoong during their performance of “Get Out” have caught the eyes of netizens.
Although dressed down in jeans and a white concert tee, Jaejoong manages to look effortlessly chic as he passionately belts out his parts.
Netizens commented, “He even looks good making faces like this,” “Crazy good looks,” and “On endless repeat.”
This was JYJ’s final stop on their 2011 world tour in 13 countries.

SNSD wins #1 + Performances from November 10th’s ‘M! Countdown’


Mnet’s “M! Countdown” is back with another episode of great performances!
Competing for the #1 spot, it was a hot battle between SNSD, Noel, and Lee Seung Gi, but in the end, it was SNSD who clinched a win with “The Boys“!
Congratulations to SNSD! (SNSD also won last week’s trophy for ‘M! Countdown’ as well, whose broadcast was cancelled. YoonA was absent due to drama filming.)

KARA’s Jiyoung laments about the difficulty of her college entrance exams


KARA‘s Jiyoung revealed that her college entrance exams were a bit harder than she expected.
On November 10th, Jiyoung came out from Daewon Girls’ High School in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul after completing her exam. Initially, she came out with a bright smile and a wave for the press. However, when she was asked about her test, Jiyoung’s mood dropped.
She said, ”The entire English translation part was difficult. But I tried my best to solve each question. Since the test just ended, I don’t know how the results will be. I hope that I achieved good scores.
After her quick interview, she went on to complete her other schedules. She said, “Because of our Australia performance, I have to go catch our flight. Thank you.
Meanwhile, Kang Jiyoung is heading to Sydney to participate in the K-Pop Music Festival.

TRAX released the MV of ‘Blind’


Rock band, TRAX has returned with a mini album ‘Blind’.
Blind‘ is the title song of the album. Song start with a gloomy atmosphere and soft music but then it speed up with heavy guitaring  of Jungmo and Jay‘s captivating vocals. Music video features fx’ Victoria and SJ’s Kyuhyun  playing the role of pain-stricken couple, crying and regretting.
Moreover, TRAX will perform ‘Blind’ at upcoming ‘Mnet MCountdown’
