Kim Hyun Joong’s Japan tour sold out, additional concert dates added


Kim Hyun Joong has announced that he will be adding additional concert dates to his Japanese tour next month thanks to an influx of fans who’ve been requesting for more.
Starting from November 9th, Kim Hyun Joong was originally scheduled to tour seven cities (Osaka, Sapporo, Sendai, Hiroshima, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Fukuoka) for a 15-day tour. However, tickets were immediately sold out, and three times the expected amount of fans applied, totaling to 90,000 applicants.
Fans who weren’t able to purchase tickets the first time around continuously made requests, and his Japanese company responded by adding an additional stop in Tokyo.
From November 19th and 20th, he’ll be putting on three concerts at the Tokyo International Forum (A Hall) for a 5,000 member audience. Kim Hyun Joong will be performing songs from his two mini-albums, “Break Down” and “Lucky“.
In related news, he will begin his three week promotion for “Lucky Guy” starting with Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘ on October 20th.

2AM’s Changmin transfoms into a chef for ‘SURE’ magazine

2AM‘s Changmin has transformed into a chef for the latest issue of ‘SURE’ magazine.
Known for his skills in the kitchen, Changmin brought out his inner gourmand for the photoshoot, using various kitchen utensils to emphasize his concept.
Fans drooled over how his suit cut a sharp figure, but laughed as Changmin showcased his various sides, from silly to sombre.
In his interview with the magazine, he discussed 2AM’s upcoming venture into Japan and their new album, scheduled for early next year.
This issue of ‘SURE’ magazine will go on sale on October 20th.

miss A’s Suzy to debut in new movie, ‘Introduction to Architecture’


Following in member Min‘s footsteps, maknae Suzy will be debuting in her first movie, ‘Introduction to Architecture‘!
Directed by Lee Yong Ju, ’Introduction to Architecture’ is a romantic film starring several top-notch celebrities including Uhm Tae Woong, Han Ga In, and Lee Jae Hoon. The movie follows the love story of an architecture student (Uhm Tae Woong) who meets a student majoring in music (Han Ga In) during an ‘Introduction to Architecture’ class. He falls head over heels in love with her, and the experience turns into a memory of his first love.
Years later, the student becomes an official architect and meets his first love again when she visits his office as a client. Suzy and Lee Jae Hoon will be playing as the younger versions of the two main leads.
On October 19th, a representative of the movie shared, “Suzy and Lee Jae Hoon do not have a big part in the movie, but they will contribute to the film with their fresh image. Despite the fact that Suzy is a rookie, there is a lot of anticipation for her film debut.”
The movie has already been garnering much attention, as it will be Han Ga In’s comeback film after 7 years away. Her last movie, ‘Once Upon A Time in High School‘, was released in 2004. Filming for the movie will start in December.

SNSD unleashes full Korean & English MVs for “The Boys”


After releasing four sets of teasers, SNSD has finally “brought the heat” by unleashing the full music video for their new song, “The Boys“.
As hinted, the girls returned with a stronger image, and it’s reflected brilliantly in their fierce choreography and sound. Confident in their growth, SNSD put away themed concepts and gimmicks and focused solely on their ability to perform.

Big Bang’s Daesung to make a comeback in December!

YG Entertainment is scheduled to hold large-scale concerts in both Korea and Japan for approximately 200,000 fans in December of this year and early 2012. What will be most exciting for the fans, however, is that Big Bang‘s Daesung will be making his comeback, performing on stage at these concerts.
YG Entertainment stated on the 19th, “We will be performing a YG Family Concert in celebration of our 15th anniversary. We will hold three concerts for about 40,000 guests per show at the Olympic Hall in Seoul on December 3rd & 4th, then on January 7th and 8th, perform two shows for about 80,000 guests per concert at the Osaka Colosseum, and finally 2 shows at the Saitama Super Arena on January 21st & 22nd for about 80,000 guests each show.
‘YG Family Concert’ is an event that has taken place regularly since YG Entertainment was established in 1997. Each of the label’s artists put on individual performance to express their unique talents and skills, and also collaborate to put on a colorful show for their fans. The concert is one in which both the audience and the artists can truly enjoy themselves.
This year is a an especially noteworthy milestone for YG, as they celebrate their 15th anniversary and thus, this year’s YG Family Concert should be that much more phenomenal, filled with new and exciting performances for their fans.
YG Entertainment has also established a new company ‘YGEX‘ in collaboration with Japanese agency AVEX, and this is the first time since their ten-year anniversary in 2006 that they are performing a YG Family Concert overseas.
Artists that will be performing at the Family Concert include YG’s eldest hyung Se7en, the talented Gummy, the unique and charismatic 2NE1, and Hallyu idol icons Big Bang who made their debut performance at the 10th anniversary YG Family Concert in 2006. G-Dragon’s concert attendance, however, is still TBD.
There will be some new faces at the concert this year as well. Singer Psy who was a guest at the annual concert last year has now become an official YG Entertainment artist and will be performing on stage as a YG family member along with Epik High‘s Tablo, who has also recently signed a record deal with YG Entertainment and released his first solo album.
Big Bang’s Daesung who has been taking a long break since his unexpected car accident in May will be making his comeback performance at the concert, and it will be a joyous one for fans who have been awaiting this very moment.
Ticket sales for the concert begin on October 27th.

New rookie group ‘AA’ reveals its first member


Wellmade STAR M, the agency housing famous actors like Ha Ji Won, Kim Seung Woo, Choi Jung Won, and Lee Jong Suk, will be making their venture into the music industry by debuting their 5-member group, ‘AA‘ (“Double A“).
AA revealed their first member, Aoora, on October 18th. Aoora is rumored to be a talented vocalist and a rapper, who’s capable of composing and producing his own music. With his gentle smile and charisma, he will lead the group as the oldest member.
Wellmade Star M revealed, “As a dance major from the Seoul Institute of the Arts, Aoora possesses strong dance skills as well as vocal skills, and stage manners that were fine-tuned by his appearances in musicals and other performances. He is a member who will be able to deliver both visual and audible pleasure that will definitely satisfy the audience.”
It’s also known that the popular Japanese composer and DJ, Daishi Dance, expressed his interest in Aoora’s unique style and asked Aoora to collaborate with him.
Daishi Dance has was worked many famous Japanese artists like Ayumi Hamasaki, SMAP, and Nakashima Mika. He’s also produced a few works in Korea as well, including Big Bang‘s “Haru Haru” and Rainbow‘s “To Me. He praised, “When I first heard AA’s song through Aoora, I shivered and felt an ecstasy greater than when I first discovered Big Bang.”
AA will make their first debut appearance at the 2011 Hallyu Concert on October 28th.
