Shindong shows off a sexy dance during KARA’s encore stage

Super Junior’s Shindong had fans howling with laughter over his hilarious dance during KARA‘s encore stage on ‘Music Bank‘ last night!
On September 23rd, KARA took home the K-Chart after beating SISTAR for the #1 spot. Maknae Kang Jiyoung commented, “Even though we just recently came out with our promotions, thank you so much for the love you’ve given us, thank you!
On this day, Shindong carried out the bet he made with Park Gyuri, in which Shindong had to dance in front of everyone if KARA were to win #1. When it came time for the encore stage, Shindong grabbed the microphone stand, and did a parody of KARA’s “Step” dance with a pseudo-serious expression, causing everyone (the girls included!) to laugh uncontrollably.
Meanwhile, the KARA members also performed the dance to SISTAR’s “So Cool” on stage, fulfilling a bargain they made with SISTAR earlier that evening.
Check out Shindong’s hilarious dance below!

Song Seung Hun turns down the role in new drama, ‘Brain’?

Song Seung Hun was recently offered a role in the new KBS 2TV drama ‘Brain, but it seems that he has turned down the offer.
His agency stated, “At this point, we don’t think it will be possible for him to join the ‘Brain’ cast.”
They explained that Song Seung Hun has been mulling over the offer ever since he received the call, but he feels that he does not have enough time to prepare himself for the role. He wants to learn the medical terminology and have more time to get into his character. But with such short notice, he will not be able to give the role his 100% effort and preparation.
‘Brain’ shares the same PD (Yoo Hyun Key) as ‘God of Study‘, and is written by Yoon Kyung Ah, telling the story of a few neurosurgeon professionals. ‘Brain’ is schedule to air following ‘Poseidon‘, and will begin their shoot for the drama once the entire cast is confirmed.

Lee Min Ho conducts live interview through Weibo

On the 22nd, actor Lee Min Ho conducted a live interview with his Chinese fans through social networking site, Weibo. The chat lasted for an hour and within that hour, Lee Min Ho was asked a torrent of questions totaling 13,500, setting a new record in China.
Due to the number of fans trying to access the site and have a chance to chat with him, the site’s servers slowed down to a crawl and the interview was hindered by many slowdowns and other issues, but it only further proved his popularity in China.
Weibo’s live interviews are only reserved for the most elite of entertainers in China and this was the first time it was conducted with an celebrity from overseas. Needless to say, with 13,500 questions in just 60 minutes, it exceeded everyone’s expectations. In regards to their server slowing down, they remarked, “it just doesn’t happen to us“.
Lee Min Ho’s agency stated, “The number of participants for an interview with a Chinese celebrity ranges from a few hundred to a few thousand; in the case of an elite celebrity, perhaps 20,000. The interview with the main 5 cast members of China’s most popular drama had 120,000 participants altogether. But Lee Min Ho alone being asked 13,500 questions in under an hour is thought to be record-breaking. It just doesn’t compare.
China praises Lee Min Ho as his popularity is truly remarkable and what makes this interview more amazing is that they announced it only 24 hours before it actually took place.
Sina.com remarked, “He has set a new record with over 13,000 questions in an hour. No one can deny his fame here in China. We had so many questions, that we could not answer all of them in detail. Lee Min Ho conducted the interview well, handling the various questions from fans. Through this event, he showed them his humorous and witty personality.”
Lee Min Ho will be visiting China on the 26th for the launching party of Hyundai Veloster in China, which he will be personally endorsing.

SM explains Cho Young Nam’s surprise kiss on SNSD’s Taeyeon

Singer Cho Young Nam has found himself in some hot water after he tried to plant a surprise kiss on SNSD‘s Taeyeon.
On September 21st, SNSD guested on the pilot episode of KBS‘s ‘Big Brothers‘. At the end of the broadcast, the girls got up to say farewell to the MC panel, and gave them all light hugs. Angered viewers flocked to the message board and left comments like, “Why would you hug and kiss your guest?  I might do something if I ever saw him,” and “Cho Young Nam needs to apologize and the producers need to clarify this matter.”
The controversy built up to such a point that SM Entertainment had to speak up on the matter. They stated, “Cho Young Nam has a daughter close to Taeyeon’s age.  He says that it was a way of expressing his friendliness, just as he would with his daughter, for working so hard for the show.”
