Kim Mi Hwa to Kang Ho Dong: “Ho Dong, I’ll lend you my hand”

Comedian Kim Mi Hwa, who’s been in the entertainment industry for quite a while, left some encouraging words for MC Kang Ho Dong through her personal Twitter.

On September 11th, she left a message saying, “When my juniors do something wrong, I don’t confront them immediately, but instead, apply thethree chance principle. I think people should be given the time to analyze their misjudgments.”

Additionally, she also left these kind words: “Ho Dong, I’ll lend you my hand.”

Netizens who read her message were blown away by her considerate thoughts, and commented, “I’m prepared to lend you my hand too, so please return as soon as possible”, “You’re such a kind senior, please take care of Ho Dong“, ” I still can’t believe Ho Dong left“, “I respect Ho Dong’s decision, but I don’t think he did wrong” , and ” MC Kang Ho Dong forever! You must return!

MC Kang Ho Dong had announced on the 9th that he would be temporarily retiring from the entertainment industry due to a tax evasion scandal.

B2ST to make an appearance on ’1N2D’



Popular idol group B2ST will be making a surprise appearance on the next episode of ‘1 Night, 2 Days‘ (’1N2D’)!
On September 18th, KBS‘s ’1N2D’ will air an episode called ‘Viewer’s Trip’, which will see performances from B2ST, Koyote‘s Shinji and Hyun Chul. These special artists will be rocking the stage with loud and exciting songs in front of an audience of 1,000.
The concert is predicted to be an especially thrilling experience, thanks to B2ST’s wide popularity amongst female teens and young adults in their 20′s. But it’ll still be a show that’ll be great to watch with the entire family, as a representative of the show shared that the audience members ranged from little kids to senior citizens.
Prior to MC Kang Ho Dong‘s withdrawal from the entertainment industry, ‘Viewer’s Trip’ was comprised of three parts, but has now been extended to four.

Lee Hongki draws praise for his acting in ‘Noriko Goes to Seoul’



Recently, KBS aired a mini-drama called ‘Noriko Goes to Seoul‘, which tells the story of a Japanese middle-aged woman trying out for a Korean idol audition after being diagnosed with lung cancer.
Aired as a Chuseok special, the drama has been drawing strong praise thanks to Lee Hongki‘s acting. The F.T. Island member plays the role of ‘Min Ha’, a teenager who befriends the main character (played by Takashima Reiko).
Viewers were impressed by Lee Hongki’s performance, as they pointed out his excellent dialogue delivery and smooth acting. “I didn’t know that Lee Hongki was so good at acting,” said one netizen. “He could work as a lead character right now,” praised another.
The drama has also been garnering acclaim for its fresh look at the Hallyu wave in Japan. By exhibiting the deep emotional connections Japanese fans make with Hallyu culture, some critics have deemed ‘Noriko Goes to Seoul’ as a ‘re-analysis’ of Hallyu.

Tasha and Tiger JK are preparing for their comebacks!



The ‘King and Queen’ of Korea’s hip-hop scene, Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae (a.k.a. Tasha), are finally getting ready for their comebacks!
They both gave up their Chuseok holiday in order to prepare their new work. Tasha is currently working on producing for her husband’s work, while also preparing for her own comeback after four years of downtime.
On September 12th, an acquaintance of Tiger JK stated, “Even though it’s a holiday weekend, the couple is working non-stop on their album.” They added, “Even though she lost a lot of time being a judge of Mnet‘s ‘Superstar K3‘, she is now focusing solely on her album work“.
Tasha was actually planning on making her comeback in the fall, but  dates are tentative. Her album will be comprised of R&B and hip-hop songs

miss A’s Suzy to appear as a MC for KBS’s ‘Win Win’



miss A‘s Suzy will be making a surprise appearance as an MC on KBS‘s ‘Win Win‘!
Suzy will fill the vacant spot left by MC Lee Ki Kwang. She was selected based on her special friendship with singer Jo Sumi, who will also be making a special appearance as a guest.
Suzy and Jo Sumi had worked together for the popular KBS drama, ‘Dream High‘, in which Jo Sumi played as Suzy’s role model and vocal teacher.
While on the show, Jo Sumi revealed some stories about Suzy’s aegyo antics on the filming site, and her unusual glances towards co-star Taecyeon during filming.
Suzy and Jo Sumi’s episode of ‘Win Win’ will air on September 13th.

Lee Seung Gi is a ladies man?



Lee Seung Gi has reborn as ‘Halo Seung Gi’.
On the September 11th episode of KBS 2TV‘s Happy Sunday – 1 Night 2 Days‘, Lee Seung Gi received much love from viewers prior to boarding his flight after passing the ‘lunch money luck random pick’ game. From older women to younger girls, female fans of all ages poured out their love for him. The younger fans even called out oppa towards Lee Seung Gi and hugged him.
As the leader of the lunch money luck random pick game, Lee Seung Gi sent the lunch money to singer Baek Ji Young. Fans emphasized this by exclaiming, “You’re the best” and “I am blinded by his presence”. When the girls covered their eyes to show that they are ‘blinded’ by him, Lee Seung Gi laughed out loud.
However, the love continued even towards announcer Jun Hyun Moo. The girls stated, “You look so much better in person”, “You’re good looking”, and “Please dance to Lucifer” – making Lee Seung Gi jealous of losing attention. Actor Uhm Tae Woong also received the same kind of love, hearing statements like being blinded by his good looks and receiving hugs from the female fans – drawing out much laughter towards Lee Seung Gi’s situation.

SBS to air ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Chuseok special


SBS will be airing a Chuseok special episode of ‘Dancing with the Stars‘.
On this episode, the couples are actress Kim Chung and MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon, actress Ye Ji won and Super Junior‘s Leeteuk, singer Lee Juno and Rainbow‘s Jaekyung2AM‘s Changmin and Sistar‘s Hyorin, and others will comprise the 13-couple lineup.
The MC’s are Lee Su Geun and singer Jang Yun Jeong.
The couple with the biggest age difference is Kim Chung and Lee Joon; they are 26 years apart. This couple took on the challenge of dancing the tango.  The two of them have performed different types of dancing in the past; Kim Chung studied Korean traditional dance and Lee Joon learned modern dance. They seemed to get along very nicely on the show and performed a beautiful tango.
Lee Juno and Jaekyung put on a fire show, surprising the audience. The two made an entrance to Seo Taji and Boys and Rainbow’s songs. After dancing together, they performed with fire, provoking nerves and excitement.
Koo Jun Yup and T-ara‘s Eunjung had the help of 10 backup dancers; Ye Ji Won and Leeteuk incorporated taekwondo into their dance, showing off their creativity.
