2NE1 and Teddy to produce Intel’s “Ultrabook Song”

2NE1 and Teddy Park will be partnering with Intel Korea for Intel‘s “Make Thumb Noise” project!
The “Make Thumb Noise” project is an event sponsored through Intel Korea’s Facebook page in which 2NE1 and Teddy Park will collaborate with Intel to create an “Ultrabook Song“. Teddy Park will be producing the song while the girls of 2NE1 will be lending their vocals for it.
The “Make Thumb Noise” project is receiving much attention for fans will be able to participate in the production of the “Ultrabook Song” through Intel Korea’s Facebook page. Through the Facebook page, two to three short music clips will be posted every week, where fans will then be able to vote for the clip they liked the most. Teddy will then make the next music track based on the favored clip.
The voting will begin on May 10th and will run on for four weeks.  The finalized product is expected to be released through Intel Korea’s Facebook page on June 5th.
In addition, the “Ultrabook Song” photos and making-of video will be released in English, Japanese, and Korean.
Intel Korea’s president Lee Hee Sung said, “2NE1 can exemplify the Ultrabook’s stylish and unique image very well and Teddy is Korea’s top producer, therefore I am positive they will be able to make the “Make Thumb Noise” project a success. This project will be one in which everyone who is interested in IT and culture will be able to participate and communicate with each other.
Teddy and 2NE1′s CL said, “We became interested in working on the “Make Thumb Noise” project with Intel Korea because they are allowing fans to participate in the process of producing the music, which we thought was creative. We will try our best to make great music through the process and the finalized product. It will be an exciting project.

Leeteuk shares his thoughts after watching Super Junior’s MBC Special



Super Junior‘s leader Leeteuk revealed his thoughts after watching ‘MBC Special – Super Junior Dreaming Of A K-POP Legend’.
On May 9th he wrote on his Twitter page, “ ‘MBC Special’. I finally watched the full version. Super Junior is truly amazing! It made me cry…” along with a screen capture of the broadcast.
The documentary special aired back on April 27th. The broadcast not only revealed Super Junior performing on stage, but also their daily lives and their personal stories.
Netizens responded to Leeteuk’s tweet saying, “I also cried while watching.“, “Super Junior is truly amazing.“, and “Every time I see Super Junior I am proud of them.

Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ha Neul enjoy a romantic cherry blossom date for ‘Gentlemen’s Class’


SBS’s upcoming drama. ‘Gentlemen’s Class‘, has dropped new still cuts featuring a romantic cherry blossom date with lead roles Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ha Neul!
Filmed last month at Yeonhee-dong, Seoul, the new couple is seen walking side by side on a jaw-dropping backdrop of the night sky and cherry blossoms in full bloom. Stylists paid special attention to their ‘first date fashion’, opting to go for a subtle couple look by matching navy and white pieces.
As gorgeous as the scene is, it didn’t come without tedious effort, as producers revealed that they had to check the weather day and night, along with making sure that they could have the pathway cleared out of bystanders. The actual scene took hours for the conditions to finally all come together.
Producers stated, “We had to check so many conditions to make sure that we could film their date scene while the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Thankfully, it all came together for us, so we hope that the viewers will be able to enjoy the scene.”
‘Gentlemen’s Class’ begins airing on May 26th!

Choi Siwon’s grandmother passes away


Super Junior‘s Choi Siwon is in a state of grief.
On January 8th, the star tweeted that his grandmother had passed away and so he’ll be flying out to Japan to attend to family matters. “Hello beautiful world. I lost my grandmother on my mom’s side. That’s why I’m in Korea now and leaving early in the morning for Osaka,” he wrote. ”Please pray for me and my family. Thank you.”
Siwon later tweeted a thank you message to his fans, who’ve been pouring their love and support onto Twitter. He attached a screencap of the ‘Trending Topics’ list, which had ‘#prayforsiwonon the top.
Our thoughts go out to him and his family. May his grandmother rest in peace.

Popular Youtuber, The Fine Bros, releases “Kids React!” video on K-pop

Earlier today, popular Youtube Series “Kids React!” posted a video on K-Pop, in particular they review “Bonamana” by Super Junior, GEE by Girls’ Generation, and 2NE1‘s “I am the Best“. As expected, K-pop fans have flocked to the video in droves.
The Kids React! series is the brainchild of filmakers Benny & Rafi Fine. The duo produce, direct, and MC the videos. Their channel has over 1.3 million subscribers.
The children themselves range from age 7 to 13. They are from a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds, but all seem to be raised/living-in America. Every week, the kids are presented with a topic and their reactions and commentary are recorded.
In the episode on K-pop, one young girl confuses Girls’ Generation with the Wonder Girls, while one of the boys equates the genre to “Asian Rebecca Black“. Most of the children seemed impressed with the production quality and creativity of the music videos, things many kpop fans enjoy as well.
Though the kids’ reactions can be a but harsh, it’s interesting to see a different perspective on K-pop music and videos.

As k-pop’s newest sub-unit trio Rainbow Pixie gears up for their debut, DSP Entertainment has released a new music video teaser for “Hoi Hoi“!
Building off of the sugary sweet concept displayed in the first MV teaser, Jisook, Seungah and Hyunyoung will have you charmed as they dance down a glitzy pink and white hallway filled with clothes and heels.

CNBLUE releases PV for Japanese “Where You Are”

After wrapping up a winter tour in Tokyo last December, CNBLUE is starting the new year with a new Japanese single titled “Where You Are“! Having released a thirty-second teaser two weeks ago, Warner Music Japan revealed the full PV to the public today.
Written and composed by member Yonghwa, “Where You Are” is receiving already receiving widespread praise both in Japan and Korea. Jonghyun also delivers a guitar solo that reaffirms CNBLUE’s status as a talented rock band.
The single is scheduled to be released on February 1st. Until then, check out the full PV below:
