TEEN TOP’s L. Joe is in NYC!

The boys of TEEN TOP are enjoying a much-deserved break after concluding promotions for their “Roman” mini-album last week.
On September 12th, member L. Joe revealed that he was visiting luminous New York City!
He tweeted two sets of pictures, with the first saying, “I met Samuel L. Jackson keke Where am I~“. Fans cracked up when they saw L. Joe posing happily beside a wax model of the famous action star.
L. Joe also shared a separate picture from Times Square. He wrote, “This is Times Square!! Have a great Chuseok, everyone ^__^“. Stretching out his arms, he seems to be really happy at getting to enjoy some free time at last.

Keep your eyes open, TEEN TOP fans! You might just run into L. Joe while grabbing something from the food trucks!

Jang Geun Suk shuffle dances in Roppongi

On September 13th, actor Jang Geun Suk cracked up fans with a hilarious picture on his Twitter.
His accompanying message read, “ Is the shuffle dance prohibited in Roppongi? No one knows who I am right? Hee Hee the raw liver is still alive!“.
The ‘raw liver’ statement Jang Geun Suk made refers to his guesting on MBC‘s ‘Knee-Drop Guru’, where he talked about his friendship with Rain. At the time, he had stated, “I have something that Rain hyung doesn’t have, and it’s none other than a youthful liver.”
In the photo, you can see the actor comically imitating the prohibition sign above. The purpose of him wearing the mask and shades was to hide his identity from the public, but the dotted hairbow seems to be countering that point, don’t you think?

Representatives of Han Ye Seul’s ex-boyfriend speak out

A few weeks back, actress Han Ye Seul came under fire for abruptly leaving the set of “Spy Myung Wol“, and netizens claimed that she did it to elope with her boyfriend. This rumor was denied by her agency.
Recently, sources revealed that Han Ye Seul and her boyfriend, ‘Mr. A’, had broken up.
An official from Mr. A’s side explained, “After Han Ye Seul’s love scandal was reported, the other side asked Mr. A for the truth. Recently, Mr. A replied curtly, ‘I am not meeting Han Ye Seul anymore’.”
Mr. A is an Ivy League graduate and is currently running a management firm. He was involved with Han Ye Seul since the beginning of the year, and in August, when Han Ye Seul abruptly left for the States, he was seen accompanying her, as he had believed she was careful in her decision.
The representative continued, “Whether it was because of the world’s interest or not, I don’t know, but shortly after Han Ye Seul returned to Korea, the atmosphere between the two wasn’t very good. Due to the rumors on the internet, Mr. A was formally inquired about the love scandal even at the company, in which he told them that he wasn’t going to meet her any more and closed the case.”
Reportedly, it was around this time that Sidus HQ released their official statement, saying, “Han Ye Seul currently does not have a boyfriend“.

SNSD attracts over 30,000 fans for ’2011 GIRLS’ GENERATION TOUR in TAIPEI’

On September 9th-11th, SNSD held their second solo concert in Taiwan with ‘2011 GIRLS’ GENERATION TOUR in TAIPEI‘ this past week at the Taipei Arena, and as expected, the concert was a huge success!
On September 13th, SM Entertainment revealed that over 30,000 fans had attended the concerts for a chance to see their favorite Korean girl group. Due to the hot response from Taiwanese fans, SM Entertainment had added an extra concert date to the originally two-day concert.
The girls also set a record of being the first foreign girl group to have the honor of performing at the Taipei Arena with not one but three consecutive concerts.

Waving thousands of bright pink glow sticks in the air, the crowd cheered on the girls as they performed their past hit songs of “Gee“, “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)“, “Oh!“, and also songs from their Japanese album such as “Bad Girl“, “The Great Escape“, and more. Including the members’ solo performances, the girls performed a total of 31 songs for the concert.

During the concert, the SNSD members were deeply touched when their Taiwanese fans revealed various events they had planned to show their love towards the girls, including a surprise birthday event for Hyoyeon.

TVXQ’s Yunho turns into a special forces soldier for ‘Poseidon’

TVXQ‘s Yunho will be making his special cameo on KBS‘s ‘Poseidon‘ through its premiering episode!
Production company Annex Telecom revealed, “In this drama, Yunho will be playing the role of ‘Kang Eun Chul’, a special forces soldier of the Korean coast guard. He will be making a short, but intense special appearance.”
They continued, “When we were filming on August 16th at an Incheon port, Yunho successfully transformed into a cool-headed and composed special forces soldier.”
Yunho had to wear the heavy uniform of a special forces soldier and portray a character who always kept his cool, even during an intense chase scene with a criminal.
The production company explained, “Kang Eun Chul is the highly-skilled team leader of ‘Poseidon’, and is a man who sticks to his principles. Along with Sun Woo (played by Choi Siwon), the two will tell a compelling story through their fierce rivalry.”

YoonA’s “Genie” costume sells for over $6,000 USD!

SNSD member YoonA stunned netizens with her star power when it was revealed that her costume for “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)” was sold for 6,700,000 won (approximately $6,200 USD)!
On September 13th, an auction was held on MBC‘s Chuseok special program, ‘Star Auction Show‘, which hosted collectors items from various stars. The stylish costume YoonA had worn for the “Tell Me Your Wish” MV was sold at a jaw-dropping figure of 6,700,000 won.
YoonA couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw the skyrocketing auction bids, as she estimated that it would only draw 2 million won, even though professionals had appraised it for 7 million won. The stylist who created the costume was surprised as well, since YoonA had worn the costume more than 10 times.
Proceeds from the auction will be donated to charities.

Choi Siwon takes a journey around the world (…sort of)

Super Junior‘s Choi Siwon made fans howl with laughter after he revealed a hilarious photo on Twitter.
On September 13th, Siwon tweeted, “Good morning. Autumn mornings always make me feel like I want to be taken away somewhere. At that very moment, someone made me this. Please take me“.
Siwon was photoshopped into various photos to make it seem like he was taking a global journey of sorts. He’s seen chilling with a giraffe, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, a flying eagle, a koala on a tree, and a cross-dressing man.
Netizens commented, “This is a cute Chuseok present“, “The last photo is daebak“, and “Fans have amazing humor nowadays“.
